School rules

SCHOOL RULES

  1. Every student must carry his almanac and identity card to school each day.
  1. Student who come to school on their own should arrive five minutes before the scheduled timing.
  1. The morning bell before a class or assembly is a signal for all to go to the assembly or to their respective class-rooms.This should be done promptly and in silence.
  1. Changing of classrooms between periods should be done in an orderly manner and silently.
  1. Student should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed.The school uniform should be worn on all working days and in all school functions.Students who are shabbily dressed or not in uniform will be sent home.
  1. All boys(except Sikhs) must keep their hair short.Girls must tie their hair neatly with a grey band.Nails must be cut regularly.
  1. Care must be taken of all the school property.No student should damage done should be reported at once to the Class Teacher.Recovery for any damage will be made from the concerned student.
  1. Students are advised to keep their classroom,building and campus as clean as possible.Leftovers should be throws into the dustbins.
  1. No books(other than the text books or library books),magazines or papers should be brought to the school.
  1. Leading or borrowing of money or other articles is prohibited.
  1. The school is not responsible for the goods lost.It is not advisable to bring valuable articles(like expensive watches,fountain-pens,item of jewelry) to school.
  1. Students who are escorted to school should never leave before the escort arrives.In case of any delay,the should report to the school office.
  1. The school reserves the right to without students whose progress in studies is unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
  1. Parents and guardians of all students should contact the concerned teachers on the PTM days to note the progress of their wards.
  1. Student should get their Report Cards signed by their Parents/Guardians within two days of receipt of the Report Cards.
  1. A child who fails twice in the same class will not be permitted to continue his/her studies in the school.
  1. Latecomers,uniform defaulters and children who do not the homework regularly will be sent home.
  1. A student who uses unfair means during tests will be given zero in the subject with a warning letter.Repetition of the same will result in dismissal.
  1. A child will not be allowed to leave the school after a Monday Test.In case he/she is not well he should appear for retest of the subject.
  1. Students are not allowed to use the school telephone without permission.
  1. Students using the School Transport will maintain discipline .Transport facilities will be withdrawal case where discipline is not properly maintained.
  1. A sick child should not be sent to school.In case of emergency the parents will be requested to take the child back.
  1. Students are not allowed to go to a relative/friend/s house from school.
  1. No birthday gifts in any form are allowed.Distribution of any gifts/sweets in the school is banned.
  1. The school provides all the necessary equipment for indoor sports activity during the games period.Students are not allowed to bring their own equipment to school.
  1. In case of any urgency of meeting with class/subject teacher,parent is required to send a note in his word’s almanac for the concerned teacher to specify a suitable time and date.Under no circumstances parent will be allowed to meet a teacher during his/her teaching hours,in case of emergency parent to contact the headmistress.
  1. The school insists in the following measures to be observed by the member of staff and all students.Care must be taken to observe the “rules” in order to maintain clean surroundings.that is,school premises will not be littered with disposable tumblers,papers or polythene bags.If polythene bags are brought to school,care should be taken not to dispose them off in the school grounds.Minimal use of polythene bags will be appreciated.
  1. MCS student should invariably be polite wherever they go.They should always rem,ember that the school is judged by their conduct.They should greet their teachers when they meet them.Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offerences.
  1. MCS provides education from Nursery to Class

VIII.Therefore,it is expected that the juniors be treated with love and affection,while the juniors show all respect to their seniors.

FEW GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS

 

  1. It is an undying fact that utmost co-operation between parents and school authorities is of paramount importance to ensure that the child derives maximum benefit and solid and firm foundation at a very early stage of education.It is therefore implored the parents/guardians to look into the lessons and homework assigned is done without fail. 
  1. The child should be encouraged to cultivate good manners,clean and neat habits.The observations/remarks recorded in the diary should be taken note.For follow-up action to be signed by parents/guardian.
  1. If it is felt, that the child is lagging behind and is unable to make the desired level of progress.It is suggested to get in touch with the school authorities for providing the required guidance and strategies to tackle the problem and for close monitoring,If private tuition is felt absolutely necessary for encouraging,please make it a point to consult the school before doing so.
  1. Adverse criticism of either teachers or school in the presence of child should be totally avoided as it not only result in the child losing respect for the Teacher but also the much needed interest in the studies.
  1. In case,your child suffers from or contacts any infectious disease,please report the fact immediately to the headmistress and do not send your child to school until the period of infection ceases to exist and a fitness certificates from a Doctor is to be produced to the above effect.
  1. If you want to meet the Class/Subject teacher for specific purpose please write a note in the child’s diary and make an appointment before hand otherwise no parents will be allowed to see the teachers as and when they like.
  1. Parent Teacher meeting are held for parents to interact with their wards class teacher.Kindly make it convenient to attend.Prior information will be sent to you regarding the date and time.
  1. For the general progress of the child the parent must attend the PTA meetings.
  1. The teachers will assess and evaluate the day to day work.The parents should see that their child learns the work done in the class every day.Promotion will be based on the child’s performance throughout the year.
  1. Parents are requested not to make any social engagements or medical appointments during working hours.
  1. As the medium of instruction in the school is English,student should be helped to follow their work easily and intelligently by a certain amount of regular conversation in English at home.
  1. If your child does not reach your home up to 30 minutes after school then inform immediately to school;so further necessary steps should be taken.
  1. Students and parents should ensure that books and note book are carried in schoolbag according to the daily time-table.
  1. Encourage your ward to take interest in studies,co-curricular activities and sports.
  1. Parents are required to inform the school about change in their address/telephone number immediately.
  1. Kindly ensure that he/she is prepared for the Monday test.Also see his/her Report Card and Teacher’s remark in his/her class work/homework books and school almanac.
  1. Distribution of only two sweets is allowed on birthday in the classes.The child may wear a birthday dress to school.
  1. Whenever teacher send you a note,kindly reply back and do the needful.Please do not mind if she is unable to reply to every letter.Please bear in mind that whatever the teacher does it is for the child’s benefit.
  1. We request you to send a extra underwear in the bag everyday.It will be used in case the child accidentally soils his/her clothes.
  1. Please make sure that your child goes to bed early(latest by 8:00 p.m.) that he/she is fresh and happy the next morning and is not forced to or rushed into getting ready for school.
  1. Please ensure that,your child is not exposed to films which are not meant for his/her age group,especially those with violence as this has an adverse effect on child.

  WHAT IS EXPECTED OF MCS STUDENTS 

  1. They should take good care of their health.

  1. They should always be friendly with others in and out of the school.They should avoid vulgarity in talk and behavior.
  1. They should always be ready to lend a helping hand to their parents,brothers and sisters at home,to teachers and companions in school,and to any unattended visitor they happen to meet in the school premises.
  1. They should accept whatever work is assigned to them as their rightful share.They should face difficulties courageously.
  1. They should never cheat or be unfair in studies an games.
  1. They should never be cruel.They should know that cruelty is the trait of a bully,while kindness is the mark of gentleman.
  1. They should always be honest and truthful.
  1. They should respect the liberty and rights of others.
  1. They should respect the beauty of the classroom and of the school premises and report any damage they may observe.
  1. They should never hesitate to say’No’when asked or tempted to do a thing which they know the wrong.
  1. They should look upon people of the world as their brothers irrespective of their color or creed.
  1. They should stand up when a teacher or visitor comes to talk them.

                              TIFFIN

Children must have their tiffing packed neatly and given nutritious food whist they enjoy.They must bring a clean napkin and water in a clean bottle.
